Shepherd Engineering Search is searching for an Inspector with building investigation and repair design experience to join an engineering consulting firm that is specialized in rehabilitation and renovation projects for various structures. This role provides a great balance between working in the field and the office.

Position Focus
- Inspection of structural and waterproofing systems, interpreting drawings and specifications, and writing field reports.
- Preparing accurate plans, sections, and details using AutoCAD
- Some office and administrative duties
Requirements
- 3 or more years of experience as an inspector in construction and/or engineering
- Proficient in AutoCAD (with architectural and/or structural drafting experience being preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
- Cannot be afraid of working in small spaces or heights as the work will include inspecting basements, rooftops, and other small or high spaces
- Needs to be a strong communicator, someone that can articulate, both in writing and verbally as the person in this position will be communicating with property managers, construction managers, and others
- Candidates must have their own transportation
