Qualifications for this role include:
- Licensed as a PE (Professional Engineer) or SE (Professional Structural Engineer) in ID or UT
- Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering
- At least 15 years of experience in structural engineering
- Strong understanding of IBC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE 7 Codes
- AutoCAD and Revit experience is preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite products
- Preferred to have software knowledge in RISA, Enercalc, Bluebeam, and RAM
Responsibilities will include:
- Design of buildings, structures for complex infrastructure including hydraulic structures, water tanks, water treatment plants, and wastewater treatment plants
- Structural design using concrete, steel, wood, and masonry
- Lateral wind and seismic analysis of new and existing structures
- Review of geotechnical documentation
- Foundation selection and design
- Retaining wall structure design
- Client communication, project engineering, and project management
- Generation of opinions of construction cost
- Check design calculations created by others
- Mentor and manage team members
